Customer Care Line Advisor

Mars Horsecare UK Ltd is part of Mars Incorporated and is home to the world renowowned brands SPILLERS, WINERGY, BUCKEYE and EQUIVITE. Within the Mars Horsecare UK Ltd organisation we have a vacancy for a Customer Care Line Advisor.
This position is responsible for providing a professional front line service to the business and our customers providing them with accurate and knowledgeable advice relating to nutrition, feeding, general healthcare, product information and topical issues.
As a member of the Customer Service team you will be an integral part of day to day business within Mars Horsecare UK Ltd, working closely with the Technical, Marketing and Quality teams to ensure that we provide both our internal and external customers with the highest level of service and customer satisfaction.
As part of the Customer Service Team, this role is based at our head office in Milton Keynes and will report to the Customer Services Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Formulate knowledgeable replies to customer enquiries via telephone call, e-mail or letter
Pro-actively recommend Mars Horsecare UK Ltd products as solutions to customers needs
Evaluate trends and patterns in Care Line questions and provide feed back to the Marketing and Technical teams
Key Skills and Qualificational Experience
Minimum of GCSE (or equivalent) passes in English and Maths
HND or above qualification in an equine related science subject
Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
Detailed understanding and empathy of horses and horse ownership is a key requirement
The ability to work on your own initiative and still be able to work effectively as part of a team
Good computer literacy
Strong service mentality and willingness to perform responsibilities outside of the job description
Previous experience in a consumer related environment would be a distinct advantage
